The primary purpose of Caucus night is to:

  • Elect Alternates and Delegates to the Renville County Convention1
    These Dels/Alts serve for 2 years and are also Del/Alt to local endorsing conventions (MN House, and MN Senate). 
  • Propose resolutions to the Party platform (print Resolution Form beforehand).

Addionally, at Caucus

  • Signup to be an Election Judge (Paid position and may serve in other precincts if you desire).
  • Volunteer your time and talent.
  • Donate to support your local party.
  • Receive information about various candidates.

For Questions:

1.) At the Renville County Convention you may be selected as Delegate or Alternate to the CD7's (Seventh Congressional District's) Convention to be held April 29th-30th in Wilmar, MN and/or the State Convention May 13th & 14th (location TBD) where you'll be selecting the endorsed Candidate for Governor, AG, SOS, and Auditor.
